1. National Bureau of Statistics: "Energy Production in June 2019"
On July 15, the National Bureau of Statistics released the "Energy Production in June 2019", in which:
Coal industry: raw coal production increased significantly, raw coal production was 330 million tons, up 10.4% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, raw coal production was 1.76 billion tons, up 2.6% year-on-year; imported coal was 27.1 million tons, up 6.4% year-on-year, and imported coal 1.54 in the first half of the year. 100 million tons, an increase of 5.8%.
Petroleum industry: crude oil production was 16.1 million tons, up 1.0% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, crude oil production was 95.39 million tons, up 0.8% year-on-year; imported crude oil was 39.58 million tons, up 15.2% year-on-year. Natural gas industry: In June, natural gas production was 13.9 billion cubic meters, up 13.1% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, natural gas production was 86.4 billion cubic meters, up 10.3% year-on-year; imported natural gas was 7.52 million tons, up 3.0% year-on-year. Power industry: power generation was 583.4 billion kWh, up 2.8% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, power generation was 3.4 trillion kWh, an increase of 3.3%. Hydropower, wind power, solar energy Power generation slowed down, thermal power increased by 0.1% year-on-year, the growth rate turned from negative to positive, down 4.9% last month; nuclear power increased by 17.8%, the growth rate was 2.4 percentage points faster than last month; hydropower increased by 6.9%, down 3.9 percentage points; wind power increased by 11.9 %, down 7.5 percentage points; solar power generation increased by 7.4%, down 8.1 percentage points.
2. A total of 30 coal mine projects were approved this year, with a capacity of 159.7 million tons.
According to statistics, as of July 12, 2019, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Energy Bureau approved 30 coal mine projects this year, with a total capacity of 159.7 million tons per year. The National Development and Reform Commission approved 14 coal mine projects with a total production capacity of 113 million tons/year; the National Energy Administration approved 16 coal mine projects with a total production capacity of 46.7 million tons/year. It is estimated that by 2020, the output of large coal mines of 1.2 million tons/year and above will account for more than 82%.
3. Substation accident caused power outage in Manhattan, New York, USA

5. The total amount of new contracts signed by China Power Construction in the first half of the year was 302.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.8%.

9. Asia Pacific's largest single 32MW photovoltaic power generation project starts operation in Vietnam
Recently, China Power Construction Group International Engineering Co., Ltd. and China Power Construction Group Guiyang Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. jointly contracted the “One Belt and One Road” construction key project in Beiping County, north of Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam – the largest single photovoltaic in the Asia Pacific region. The power generation project was officially put into operation. The project is a 325 megawatt giant photovoltaic power plant with 50 photovoltaic arrays and nearly one million photovoltaic panels, covering an area of 6,000 acres.
10. Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the sixth batch of recommended catalogues for new energy vehicles
On July 15th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 321st batch of “Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Products Announcement” on the official website. At the same time, this batch of announcements published the “Recommended Models for New Energy Vehicle Promotion and Application (2019) 6 batches), a total of 316 new energy vehicles are listed. Among them, 202 models meet the technical requirements of 2019 state subsidies, 96 models meet the technical requirements of 2018 state subsidies, and the remaining new energy models total 18 models.
